On the Manifestation of the Babysitting Co-op, and the Plight of the Federal Reserve

First off, I think the idea of a baby-sitting co-op is interesting concept on its own. It’s worth noting that the flaw where people ran out coupons was overcame using a cap-and-trade system.
The issues with the Fed are as complicated, and I am hesitant to argue for any particular action that they should take. I am reminded of parable of the zen master; in other words, one cannot be sure if what you want to do is right until after it is done. In the end, however, I look at the Fed’s actions as more fine-tuning transactions, having its primary strength over loaning and payment, rather than being a all-powerful controller of the economies direction.
